You can't change the waves,

but you can learn                                           how to surf.

Leah Good, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Have you felt as if your past psychiatry providers didn’t have the time for your concerns, or even didn’t really know you or hear you? Working together to find the most appropriate diagnoses and best possible medication or other treatment modalities for you as an individual is my goal. I believe that this can best be accomplished by establishing a mutually respectful and trusting relationship, where you will be treated as a person, not an illness or a number.

I have learned so much about the intricacies of human emotion and experience through my time in the mental health field, and I am privileged to learn more from those who choose to entrust their care to me. I look forward to meeting you.

Leah is someone that coordinates very quickly and always takes into consideration all the things my clients bring up to her attention. I know my clients feel valued and seen by her and the consideration she puts into their care. She is someone I know I can trust, and I really value having her as someone on the same team as me.

-Amy, referring therapist

My first appointment I could tell that we were a good fit. It takes time to develop a good relationship with your doctor and it was surprisingly immediately with Leah. I am so pleased with the care I receive and I look forward to seeing her. I am so impressed! When I first saw Leah Good, my mood was terrible. The first thing she did was to review my medications with me and to ask me how each medication was helping me. I am so happy with my progress and when I saw my PCP, she was happy with my changes and my overall mood.

-Chris, current patient

Leah helps me understand how medications affect my body and listens to me. She doesn’t believe that I should suffer with poor side effects and helps find the right dosage and medication for me. I am very grateful for her knowledgeable approach.
